LIND Canvas: from prototypes to production
Taking responsibility for 3D-printed prototypes, manufacturing process selection and the transition of plastic parts into injection-moulded production as part of the LIND Canvas team.

LIND Canvas is an electric surfboard: the shape and feel of a surfboard, with an electric jet drive and removable battery and drive modules. My work at LIND has been about getting it from functional prototypes to production.
Early in development, every 3D-printed prototype part was my responsibility, whether we printed it in-house or sourced it from suppliers in Sweden, elsewhere in Europe, the US or Asia. I also chose the manufacturing method for every part in the product.
Then each plastic part had to go from printed prototype to injection-moulded part, and I took every one of them through that step. I selected suppliers and materials, specified surface finishes and critical tolerances in the technical drawings, and qualified samples with 3D scanning and mechanical testing. Where a sample fell short, I worked with the supplier until the part met the specification.
LIND Canvas received a Red Dot Award for Product Design in 2025, and I’m named as part of the in-house design team behind it.
