Evaluating metal additive manufacturing for Nordic customers
Evaluating Meltio's wire-based laser metal deposition and introducing the technology to Nordic customers as CTO at 3DVerkstan Nordic.
As CTO at 3DVerkstan Nordic, part of my job was evaluating new manufacturing technologies and the brands behind them, to decide what was worth offering our customers. Meltio was one of the results.
Meltio’s machines use wire-based laser metal deposition: a laser melts metal wire and builds the part up layer by layer. I evaluated the technology and introduced it to Nordic customers through 3DVerkstan’s offering, matching what the process could do to the manufacturing needs customers brought to us.
In October 2023, I presented Meltio and its applications at Laserdag II.
